What material is the pigtail of a speaker made of?

Recommended Posts

We have some 18" speakers we DJ with. The pigtail is kinda short and weak so after my cousin keeps soldering it back on, it pops off after a while of bouncing. I was wondering what the pigtail wire is called that goes from the terminal into the cone and where can I get them? I was told to use epoxy glue instead of soldering it back on.

tinsel lead material, it will be hard to find online

I have tons of 6" length tinsel, but may be to thick for that

I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.

Do you have any alternative methods in mind to get the 18s working again?

We got a show coming up in 2 weeks so we need everything prepared and working.
