tristan560 Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 Loved mine...used one for about 4 months. Never clamped it but based on direct swaps it definitely did rated plus some. Fan gets annoying sometimes if its mounted near you...it would occasionally kick on for a minute or so upon start up. I used it all winter so i have no idea if it runs hot or not. Definitely a great overall amp. 99 Jimmy SLT 4WD Systemless. 99 Grand Prix GTP DC XL 12 on 1.5k tuned lowwwwww.

Ok cool......if i get it it will be in the trunk so no noise to worry about.....i'm just iffy on such a small heatsink being able to dissipate heat properly......still thinking on it..... EricR Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 D9's are beasts but if it blows good luck on getting it repaired lol. unless you are buying it used then yea go for the D9, same board as the 40.1 i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?
