EricR
I personally own a 9886 and I like it, not the best deck I've ever ran but its nice for the price. i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work? MrSoundz
I have never used the 9887 but I the CDA 117 is leaps and bounds over the 9886. I used the 9886 for a long time. The CDA 117 has a 24 bit burr brown processor in all phases of the unit which is the FM/AM tuner, CD player, satellite tuner and USB (IPOD or MP3) which makes a world of difference. The 9887 does not have burr-brown through the IPOD controls.
