soundslike either a voltage or rca problem to me. i would make sure your rcas arnt comin loose

I did a RCA check on the amp and both lines were getting signal. You think it could probably be behind the deck? I don't know how to pull a deck out to check it.

lose the cao and see if it still does it. a 1 farad cap does nothing for voltage they just look really pretty. do you have a voltmeter besides the cap? how bad do your headlights dim?

I honestly don't see it being a voltage problem, listen to a system at 14volts, then the exact same one but at 11volts, and it sounds the same to me. I honestly think it's just your ears changing, after a while it always seems to be not as loud.

I got HIDs on so it doesn't really dim. I never noticed any flickers except I have a shortage on the passenger side do to a faulty connection. (I think I need to clean the connector pins) I never really blasted the music with all the lights on. I'll do it when I go back one day and turn on the interior lights and see what it does.

It probably could be because I blast music everyday in my ears with my in-ear headphones. (Sennheiser CX400II) but still that drop in sound I can still hear when I'm driving. It's not a heavy drop, but it's a drop my ears notice and wonder about.

Usually after about 30 minutes of driving full tilt, the bass doesn't sound as loud. It's more than likely your ears just changing

Actually I didn't listen to it in 2 weeks. I went back yesterday to clean some snow and I turned it up and it still sounds low.

  • 1 month later...

*bump*

So I went back couple days ago and I actually had to turn down the level back to -18. I think temperature has something to do with an amplifiers performance. It sound low to me when outside was freezing cold. But when outside was like 70 degrees it sounds perfect!
