Unfortunately I am unable to figure out what kind of interface it uses. A link to the replacement hard drive (here) shows ata 100, but that definitely doesn't look like ata 100 to me. Any help anyone can give would be much appreciated. micahmye Posted March 1, 2010 Report Share Posted March 1, 2010 I believe that is IDE, there is a removable plastic adapter that makes it into that wedge shape that fits into your laptop. Try to carefully pull the adapter off to get to the regular IDE plug.
