I was told by a shop that i should use a battery isolater. i want to run 2 runs of 0 gauge + and -. should an isolater be used or not and if so how should it be wired. system consits of 2 sundown 2000d,2 orion hcca 15.2 one 300 amp alt kinetik 2000 under hood and 2 kinetik 2400 in the bed. also what size fuses should i use.any help or a diagram would really be appreciated. want to get this truck finished. i have posted before but it was regarding how many runs of 0 gauge. i was checking out the build that steve did on chickens ext since i have an avalanche and was wondering why the circuit breaker? The main purpose of an isolater is to let you drain your rear batteries but leave your starting battery untouched. But this only applies while your vehicle is off. If you are not worried about that then don't bother with the isolater.
