chevy blazer back hatch ????????

Ok so im about to buy a 1995 blazer 2 door not the extreme. and its got hellllla low miles on it soo the engine is in great shape but the back hatch wont open!!

has any body else had this problem?? and is it supper easy to fix or a PITA???

any feed back on what to check it for also would help?? (already had my mechanic look at it)

if you dont know what youre doing with cars ur looking at serious moula from a shop. nothing too bad tho. probly a stuck lock?

im taking out my passenger seat, battery is disconnected, going to unwire and take out the three amps, take out the 70+ lb box, then the platform so i can crimp 1 wire.

Almost as bad as those fegs that put those horns in their grills and roll down the street distorting the block....

Im no mechanic, but Can you hear the glass unlocking when you hit the button on the dash or the button on the tailgate?

If you CAN hear it then it might just be stuck!

If you CANT HEAR IT well could be a short, the button up front, it also has the button on the outside of the tailgate too right, could be that. you would have to take the tailgate inner panel off and check that the thing that hold the glass closed..that could be bad. that's what i would check if i was you.
