The 8's will hit lower and have a cleaner sound but theres a big diffrence in cone area there so the 12's might be louder over a certain range.. Id say 4 8's or even 3 8's on the 2000w would be alot better than the shallows.. Id go with the DD 1508 or the sundown 8's.. Both very good subs...
