Cashdollar2009
I am making a double baffle for the front of my box, but i want to also make the subwoofer flush with the front. What i am asking is; is the actual outer diameter 15"? Would i be well off cutting a 15.25" cut-out? I know the mounting diameter is 14", but to make it flush i want to make sure it's not an "oversized" sub, diameter-wise at least... thanks! cqtama
oo that makes more sense lol. well the first baffle should be the normail cutout diameter so the sub doesnt fall through the box. second baffle should be a little over 15 inches i dont have any personal expereriece with the xl but i belive it should be a normal size 15. wheres noobtastic, maybe he can chime in Quote R.I.P '01 blazer you treated my ears well until your transmission blew up. Cashdollar2009
Haha i thought it would, lol i'm not going to hop on here and ask something quite that dumb, maybe some other nooob question, but i'm not asking someone to come measure my speaker for me. Sounds good to me... i already have the 14" measured out, i just wanted to double-check before i drew out a 15.25" circle. Gotta love building with smd open. The A Team
Dont do it!!!! The osm of the 15s are 15.5" not accounting for the rubber gasket. When i flushed mine in i did 15.625".

Whew! (wipes brow) thanks for saving my life bro! I wouldn't have been very happy finding that out on my own! Especially considering the box will be built and covered before the sub gets here!
