Jl 10inch W7 Please Help!!!!!!

Hello all I am trying too decide on what amp to buy to power my 10 W7. I bought the truck and it came with it so i really didnt pay a dime for it, but i would hate too burn it up and have to buy another one. Its a 2000 Silverado 2500 with a custom box where the center seat was so my space is limited. Anyway i was looking at the RF T1500 and the jl 750hd. I really dont like the jl because i will be limited in the future if i trade it in on a ext cab. but am i gonna smoke the sub with the t1500 or the t1000. Any help will be awsome. FYI im sure you all know but the specs on the sub are 750 rms single voice coil 3 ohm's. Again thank you all!!!!!!!!!

If you can afford the jl get that. People on like craigslist go nuts over jl and kicker and name brand stuff so you won't lose a lot of value

I have a 12w7 with a rockford t1500bd running to it. its also a single voice coil 3ohm you should be fine with that amp, altho if your planing to upgrade later keep that in mind because you may want to use your amp for your next setup. but the rockford would be good for your next setup. its just inconvenient for the jl subs because the 3ohm voice coil doesn't really let you get your moneys worth out of your amp unless you get the 500/1 or 1000/1 because they run at 1-3 ohms at the rated voltage or if you run multiple woofer setups. whatever amp you choose just make sure you look to what kind of setup you want to run next. and that it will give you decent power at 3ohms and possibly be stable down to 1 ohm for your whatever you want next. those tma amps made by jl are are something also to look at. sundown make goods amps I've heard, whatever you prefer really.

I really wanna try and squeeze another w7 in there if i can. i guess im just wanndering if i could run the one for now with a t1500

if i were you sell the w7 and don't waste your money,unless you buy a jl 1000/1. I love the 12w7 its a really good sub but you can get a lot more output for less money.I planed on running 1 w7 and bid on 2 on ebay like a dumbass and won two. I'm now not satisfied with 1 and debating on building an enclosure for 2 and running them at 1.5ohms with about 700rms to each. or selling the 2 12w7s and getting a nicer high output sub maybe a 15 or 18 that can utilize all of my amp.

you can run 1 with the t1500bd , its a great amp, im really satisfied with mine. Just turn the gain down and don't try to overdo pushing it too hard.

Unless you know you have room I wouldn't add another maybe just sell the one you have and get a couple of 8s or 10s that need less space

yeah more then likely youll squeez like 700 out at 3ohms nominal? someone more experienced could probably tell you what it would run at 3ohms.. look up 2 ohms on the amp and subtract like 1-200 watts.

those sa-8s are really a beast for being a 8" sub 149db off one.

I couldnt see the box in the video, but if i had an extended cab truck I would definitely look at getting 4 of those. but I'd probably do a blowthru if i get a truck. I'd like to put the 2 12w7s in a blowthru or similar high output woofer.
