tdc3187
I am going to build another box because I am not happy with the way it sits in the car, it's size, etc... Going to be upgrading my electrical soon, doing the big 3 at the same time, hoping that will keep up. So I am toying between two different ideas: 1.) rebuild with my current setup and build a box to be happy with. 2.) Adding another 12XL and just building a new box for the both, but I won't be able to get another t1500.1 for a while so I would have to run both subs with one amp for a while. It would have to come after my alarm, alt, big three, and some other minor mods... ktroym
Are you not happy with the box because it is to big? tdc3187
The box is too big, somehow I messed up a number when I was calculating the airspace. I think when I did the numbers again it was almost 3 cubes after the port and sub displacement. ktroym
If you add another sub you might be bigger than 3 cu ft. So I would suggest building the right size box for the one sub first, then if still not happy try 1 more sub. Just my opinion. MikeyF
Definitely would not be worth getting another xl if your only going to send them 750rms, and thats before imp rise. Just build a smaller box for the time being, and save for another amp. I know my 12" LVL4 shines off my Sundown 1200, and it's in 2cubes... Your not going to get that XL moving much with 750rms... Yeah but then I would have to build yet another box when I add the second sub and other two amps. I think I am going to clean the garage out and park there, My audio shop just told me 900 for a smart start. Going to call best buy before I make any further decisions. mr.p
right on lettuce know how it goes... You could also build a couple of boxes for a single xl and get one that sounds the best and apply it to the dual 12's box or something of that sort. but you already ordered it Quote DCAUDIO BALLS DEEP
