Don't really need an electrical upgrade for a 1200rms system. I mean with imp rise and everything, you never see an exact 1200rms. And the basic rule of thumb is 100ah worth of battery for every 1000wRMS. If he does the big three, he should be perfectly fine. Now don't quote me and think I mean you don't need an electrical upgrade, because you are always golden with those type of upgrades. But not everyone has that type of money, yanno? FYI, you won't get 3700rms with the AQs strapped at 2ohms. And there is no way the BL will take 3700rms if you did get a different amp. Check out the AQ2200...

Was going to state this as well, but didn't want OP to think I was just knit picking at his system. Having a smaller HO alt, and a bank of batteries if just as bad as not having a HO and batteries. Batteries can just cover up the problem, and slowly kill your alternator. Your alternator has to charge the batteries, and if is constantly sucking amps, it's not going to have the power to charge the batts. At least check out a 250a alternator, and you should be good with the supposed 7-10 batteries.

And THERE is your problem. You are clipping the signal. No reason to have the bass boost turned up, and just about everyone will agree with me. So, all in all, you ARE clipping the signal.

How much is the bass boost turned up on the amps?

The first one looks just fine man. But when you are testing amps, etc, you usually will need two meters, one to clamp the wire, and the other go test the voltage of your speaker outputs. I also don't think the second one is a true rms meter either.

Having a lanzar sub, he is more than likely going to want to crank on the gain/bassboost which is a horrible idea in the first place. So putting a powerful amp on the little sub, is probably not sure a good idea for the guy right away...

Just in case anyone realized, his "1600w Lanzar Sub" is not going to do 1600rated. Look around for a 600-800rms amp.... Also, it would be very helpful to know what your final ohm load is, such as is the subwoofer a Dual 4ohm, Dual 2ohm, etc...

I just don't understand how people can invest so much money into a hobby, when they don't even understand how to set gains/the bass boost shouldn't be used. Or they don't even understand what clipping a signal is. It's sad, or i'm just a hater because mommy and daddy don't pay for my hobby =[.

Voltage is power, first of all. If you have to ask, you don't really know what your doing, thus, deserve a lvl5. As everyone else asked, were your gains set on a test tone, as well as LPF and subsonic? And why worry about peoples numbers with these, if you shit is smoking/coils are burning? And if one persons lands a 150 or so, doesn't mean you will... It's all in the car and install....

Has each different HU you tried been different than a Pioneer? Pioneers are notorious for the engine whine...

A double baffle is for extra box strength, correct? Then why would it be a beauty plate? It definitely helps with support, not for looks.....

How much current (amps) are you drawing? The big three should do you just fine if your under 1000rms.
