If you could wire to 2 ohms and were on a budget I would of recommended the AudioPipe3000d, but since you need it to wire to 1ohms probably your best bet is either Audioque or maybe one of the Hifonics 2600d. Quality amps usually arent cheap you get what you pay for, I mean you arent gonna find a 4000rms amp for 150 dollars, and expect it to do it with the internals of a 500 watt amp. I am currently running 1800rms to subs and 700rms to mids and highs, so that is 2500rms total, now I have the Big 3 done, with a Kinetik 1400 in the trunk, I maybe drop to high 12's full tilt at night with the headlights on, and high 13's in the daytime. But I can't find a peak power rating for it? or does that even matter. haha. Quote

Naw dont ever worry about peak ratings cause they will never happen, that BXi will put out a clean 2400rms with decent electrical, and if you build the Orion a box a bit closer to the max recommended box size, it will pound on that amp. teamace24 Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 Naw dont ever worry about peak ratings cause they will never happen, that BXi will put out a clean 2400rms with decent electrical, and if you build the Orion a box a bit closer to the max recommended box size, it will pound on that amp. My friends hcca was a 4 ohm coil so his choice was only a 2 ohm stable amp so he chose the kicker zx. This was before many people had even heard of the audiopipe 3000 which would have been his best bet. If he had a 2 ohm sub like you this 2600 hifonics would have definately been the one to get so go for it. You should also look in to an audipipe aqx 2500 or aqx 3500 (be careful) and compare prices, they all would do great. A 1000 w is about 275 IIRC. Just get an amp and a good box. Buy a voltmeter to know if you really need new alt and new batt. Do the big 3 in 1/0.
