Sub and amp help please

Hello,

Right please bare with me as its quite hard for me to explain.

My install:

Headunit - Alpine 9886r

Speakers - Jl Audio - Not amped

Subwoofers - 2x Alpine Type-R 12"

Amps - 2x Alpine MRP 500

Problem:

I have one amp wired to each sub. but thats where the problem starts. i have one rca running from the headunit to the back of the car, then i have an rca splitter to both amps. I noticed my left sub doesnt move as much as the right one. Then when i adjusted the amps gains the left amp made no difference what so ever. so i unplugged the left amp and both subs worked? so i plugged it back in and unplugged the rca from the right amp and both subs cut out? seeing as they are both wired seperately why are they running from one amp? and not properly either?

Sorry its a bit long winded.

Any help would be appreciated

what the hell???? are they both in seperate chambers or do they share the same airspace in one box?

Yeah if i unplug the left RCA's the left sub still plays? :/

They are both in one ported box if that helps anyone?

Im thinking you only have one sub playing and the pressure is moving the other sub, are the amps linked?

Hmm, that could be true actually, but im sure the left sub is moving under its own power? but then again when the right sub moves inwards on a bass note the left sub doesnt really move at all. no the two amps are seperate. Hmm now im thinking my left amps broken?

switch the rcas from amp to amp. See if there is a difference.
