Thanks man! Next on the Agenda is to trim the Expanding foam, then I am gonna start on my console. I still don't know what I am doing for sure with the console yet, lol.

Edit: I am really impressed with how much just the expanding foam and that chunk of MDF braced the back wall/window. It definitely needed that, lol. One rattle down, 20 million more to go!

I'm starting on my console now.

How it looked when I woke up this morning.

nice build bro! thanks for giving me some more crazy ideas to add to my list of plans that i have in store for my truck, right now im upgrading the electrical components in my truck.. what comes next is buy the amps and the subs. . . the amps will be the db Drive okur A7 2100.1 2 of em strapped, and the subs will be a pair of DD 9515's(saving for it right now, $1k to go), and the box im still deciding on whether to go with a 4th order or a do a big hole and put a ported box like this one

.......
what do you think man??

Well, the thing I like about my 4th order is the fact that I didn't have to cut out that big of a hole. I still have over 2/3rds of my back wall. Once I get the Crescendo BC3500 (a long ways away lol), I will have plenty of room to put it on my back wall. However, you just about have to get the 4th order dead on perfect to get the results you want. I wanted to be a low end monster but still have the ability to tickle your throat at 60 hz. I call complete luck that I managed to reach my goal on my first bandpass box. If you get the right amount of air space, in each chamber, and you can remove your port fairly easily to change out, then you will have no problem with a 4th order design, however.

I have heard a lot of normal ported boxes in blowthroughs that are loud as hell. I would ask Sanitarium and pstone about blowthroughs, they have done a couple lol.

Personally, I wont ever go back to a ported box now that I see how efficient the 4th orders are. I haven't had a better sounding box than this one before. Just calculate, recalculate, measure to make sure it fits, calculate more, and dont stop calculating until you get the box exactly how you want it and you aren't calculating wrong anymore lol.

I will be tuned into your build, DD is huge here in Oklahoma (obviously, lol), and I am a fan of them as well.

Looking good. I wonder, and I'm just thinking out loud here, but with that MDF there, if you changed it and went with birch or something like that, and put some angle iron on it. WAIT, better yet, figure out your board measurements. If that's what it's going to be, then do this. Get some cashola together, get some angle iron together and have it welded, provided you don't already know how, to the back wall. Then you can put the MDF or Birch over top of it to cover it all and then trim around it. The angle iron will stiffen that bitch WAAAAAYYYY up!

Just thinking out loud!

Good idea! But I think I am gonna end up just sticking with this, for now anyways lol.

I am almost finished with the console, until I get access to a router and some paint haha.
