The ignition lights come on but once I turn the key for the engine to start there is nothing there. No noice nothing. Could this be a battery? I turn the lights on and then try to start it and there is steel nothing and the lights dont dim. dan
ooh sorry I should of said that I put the battery on charge. maybe my charger aint working right but the weird thing is that when I turn the final turn of the key the lights dont even dim. Maybe the cells in the battery have been damaged whilst it was sitting unused.

dan
thanks guys, I did think about this because if the starter was to be good then it should dim the lights when i turn the key, I will have to try and clean all cable connections from the starter. thanks guys
dan
when I got home from work today I disconnected the earths, wires 2 the starter motor and the battery terminals and now when I turn the lights on and turn the key the lights dim and you can hear the car trying to turn over, I tries bumping it with leads from my mums car and it didnt help much. Think it may be the battery
