Ok so I setup a system for my friend even built him a box, it was my first time and it came out awesome... well anyways to the point he has:

Hifonics DVC 4OHM 12" Atlas (never tried it before but @ 600RMS for $134 I thought why not?!) and we ran it on

Alpine MRP-500.1D @ 2OHM (wire correctly rechecked etc.) it was pounding hard no clipping (set with DMM)and sounded great, hit lows nice for about a week...

the driver stops moving and the driver is just stuck in outward position could push it in... so we let it settle for awhile and just tapped the cone and the driver went back to normal...

There was no rubbing or coil sounds so we take the subwoofer out, the coils are in awesome condition and in there nice, the tinsil leads are perfect everything is fine, i pull up and the whole spider had come off... like the glue wasnt on there good or something, so now I have to re-attatch the spider, will the woofer be fine if I do this? is it really damaged for good? or can some really good adhesive fix it?

Why would you EVER WANT flex?
huh?...flex is what can make the lows lower and more air being pushed correct?

all i can say is, it cant hurt to try.

CA glue is the preferred glue for joint fixes

well it was glue that held it there in the first place , it just seems like htey did a shitty job on the assembly line lmao... I just want to know if i re-attatch the spider if it'll work fine again the thing is brand new

keep one thing in mind, you get the soft parts out of alignment since you cant shim it to reglue it with the dust cap still on it and yer gonna have a nice life in coil rub land...

Well the subwoofer is like one week old, it wasnt overpowered or clipping the ONLY problem is the spider came lose from the gasket should I send it back or attempt repair? the coil seems to be aligned and in good shape i hear no rubbing just the spider is lose.

soo if i put the spider back on the coil wont in in sync and it'll rub? or do you think im ok , I cant send it back to for warranty if i try to reglue the spider...
