hdorre
In imho the 4 q's. More motor force. Plus I wouldn't put them BTL's in that small of a box with that little power. Go more like 7cubes per. How about if I gave each BTL a Fosgate T2500-1bd? Which would hit lower Quote On 5/8/2011 at 7:38 PM, Kranny said: On 5/8/2011 at 7:35 PM, 'Maxim' said: It hurts me inside when I read stuff like this and remember you're 15 LMFAO so true Mitsubishi 3000GT (Old Build) Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: (2) McLaren Audio MLT-2 Tweeters & (4) PRV Audio MR Series Neo 6.5" Mids Substage: 4 15" Hybrid Subs - Tantric Motors & Sundown Softies Amps: Banda 2.4D Amp (Tweets), American Bass VFL 350.4 (Mids), and (2) Ampere 3800s Electrical :Singer 260A Alt & JY Power Lithium 2005 Chevy Colorado Ext Cab Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: 4 PRV 700Ti Tweets & 6 10" Delta Mids on 3000wrms Substage: 6 Fi BTL 18s in a 4th Order Walkthrough on 3 Wolfram 4500s Electrical: Singer "390" and JY Power My Official Feedback Thread
JZeFF
How low a sub hits is more dependent on the box/port tuning than anything else... 4 12's gives you 452.39 square inches of cone area, 2 18's gives you 508.94 square inches of cone area. 2 18's would be louder, but the 18's require a pretty damn big box... 4 12's also requires a big box, but it should be a little smaller than a box for 2 18's. And no matter what subs you chose to go with, if any at all... the RF 2500's will be good. A better battery in the front, and at LEAST 1 (preferably 2/3) big ass ones in the back.. And no optima shit. big 3 in 0gauge is a must, and a h/o alt would be recommended... kirill007
If you have 5cubes for each BTL, then why not get the 4 Q's and put them in a 10cu ft enclosure? I think The 12's in a 10cu ft enclosure would be louder then the 18's in a 10cu ft enclosure. The q's would get optimum airspace and the BTL would be in the smallest box. EDIT:JZeff, you have quite a big sig, couldn't you make it smaller pls? Edited April 16, 2010 by kirill007 Quote Thinking is the root of all problems... You ALWAYS get what you pay for. Would it sound similar to two btls in 7 cubes with 2000 watts?
