elastic
i just wondered if the hype of square subs is overrated. lets compare a cvx to an l7: the l7 has about 20% additional cone area than the cvx (same model size). to gain 3 db you need 100% more cone area. so at the same power the l7 is about 0.6 db louder than the round version which isnt noticeable at all as a 10 db gain equals twice the loudness to ear. for competition use the squares may be good, but i highly doubt its good for daily drivers. and its known square woofers have little sq and kicker itself recommends rounds subs over square subs for sq setups. what do you think? my 15 L7 build my youtube channel with lots of L7 videos
BIGD502
I say stick with round subs square subs are just for looks in my opinion
bmongo18
Man a lot people say kickers l7 15 are no good but a got two in a 12 cube ported and it pounds hard so I don't think so
elastic
i didnt say they are bad either. there are better options though. but probably two 15 CVXs would sound as loud to ear and sound better than the two 15 l7s. my 15 L7 build my youtube channel with lots of L7 videos
Maxim
Man a lot people say kickers l7 15 are no good but a got two in a 12 cube ported and it pounds hard so I don't think so You have 2 subs in a 12 cube ported box? I'm hoping they're the 15" subs. And I'm hoping you know what you're doing. That's a big-ass box for those two subs. Anyway, I'd stray away from square subs. Other than looks, I've seen no real reason for them to be square. The difference in cone area is negligible, but the difference in SQ will be noticeable, so stick with the round woofers. wtf is lolcats? I'd def get a fat hooker if i had to resort to that kinda thing. I feel like they'd be grateful and work harder. Also its more bang for my buck, more real estate for my dollar if you catch my drift. its like the Costco of streetwalkers. I was hoping for 150 . I was hoping she would let me put it in her butt
thumper806.yellowcity
Yea he said he has the 15's, but I worked around kicker and mtx,I liked the mtx 5500 series better than the L5's and L7's.they do pound, but I felt for the price overrated.just my opinion "NOT AT THE TABLE CARLOS"

Maxim
My bad. I read the "l7 15" as "l7 l5" and I thought he was saying the l7's and the l5's were good subs. LOL when you code all day and 1's and l's look just like each other it's easy to get them mixed up. wtf is lolcats? I'd def get a fat hooker if i had to resort to that kinda thing.
