Noob question

Hi guys ..

This isnt my car for clarification.

So I hooked up a buddys system the other day .. Two Dual 12" in a sealed box with a 300W (150x2) Dual amp. He told me to tell him if I got any bigger amps, to let him know. So yesterday, I came about a Kicker 200.2 amp. I put it on my T1's and it wasn't doing bad, so I decided to tell him about it. My only concern is that the amp has 4ga terminals, as the dual had 6 or 8ga. I'm wondering if this will be alright .. The amp will be at like 3/4 gain .. I dont wanna re-wire the whole car with 4ga. So can you guys tell me if this will be okay?

Shouldn't matter what the terminal size is. The real question should be why would you let your friend but DUAL. Also, that amp at 3/4 gain may destroy those Dual subs. Just remember, no bass boost.

He told me he bought some subs and wanted me to come over .. Hes not a real basshead. Just looking for some thump. And for $75 I dont think he did thatbad .. But you really think it will destroy them?

Are you comparing a 150.2 to a 200.2?? Not much difference. Find a good mono amp.

Well I read somewhere that kicker takes in more than they put out, which is why I was wondering..

They do put out more than rated, but still find a good 6-700 mono amp.
