bennett15 Posted March 31, 2010 Report Posted March 31, 2010 So i have a Soundstream TRX2.440 running a set of RE 6.5 comps so today im driving along everything is fine find a song i like turn it up and soon as the bass hit and drivers side components stop working. This has happen before but it was just a loose wire at the amp. So i get home check wires at amp there all good take door apart check those wires and there good. So then i switch the drivers and put them in the other channel that the passenger side is using and now they work? I was running each channel at 4ohm. Is the one channel now blown? Amp is 2 ohm stable so could i wire the components together for a 2 ohm load off one channel? Freshman6969 Posted March 31, 2010 Report Posted March 31, 2010 might of been clipping, blew the one channel, idk not really sure, /free bump Legal TL scores145.6 on the dash sealed up in the low 40hz area with the port out145.5 on the dash sealed up @30hz with the port inless then 1k clamped on a 3.5k! Someone can correct me if im wrong, but i do believe the amp doesnt have a certain thing to do when it blows. it doesnt have to smoke up or start smelling, it could just blow with no warning. maybe if its old it just gave out.
