i vote for the walmart subs they have some 12'' pioneer subs for like 60 a pop do about 6 in ported box get a cheap cd player for around 70 bucks get 3 of the wiring kits they sell for like 40 bucks and about 2 sets of the pioneer 6.5's and some tweets it should be around $600-675 and than buy a hifonics 1600d and a lil amp for highs mids that should be around $1000-1200 bucks with about 98%of the stuff from walmart

Why not give him a real challenge and say he has to do a build from only the car audio isle at Wal Mart

Thats awesome, in the early 90s I used to do my whole builds from the walmart isle, minus subs

But back in the days, I used to get Pioneer tweeters, and midrang 4" speakers, and 6x9 dual cone full range, and did a couple nice installs using those

They had the Crankenstein amps, and these monstrous 6x9s I used from Walmart, the Jensen 300w blue amps, jensen 200w 2 channel amps for the components and 6x9s

sony is beyond junk. there stuff is no better than Boss or soundstorm. MBQ, AP, HIfonics etc are at least decent companies, and yes they do have good stuff.

yeah, I have 2 Hifonics HFi's, and for such a low price, they are amazing. My friend has had more problems with his Kicker L5's and has had them for half the time I've had mine for. I, to this day, do not have a single complaint about them.
