E a r t h
i did go from a sealed enclosure to a ported,i switched on the infrasonic filter on so it won't play below 28hz. Slope Switch – Used to select between a 12dB/octave Butterworth or 24dB/octave Linkwitz-Riley filter.does anyone know what this does? its on a fosgate t5002 amp. personally, i like the sharp slopes unless im blending
maniac74
personally, i like the sharp slopes unless im blending so by sharp slope that means 24db is the setting i should use? sorry i just don't know what it does. kmalinich
personally, i like the sharp slopes unless im blending x2 and the slopes determine how fast the level falls at the point of the crossover. for example at 12 dB \ octave, one octave below your crossover point will be 12dB quieter. edit: for a high pass filter, a low pass will be the opposite Edited April 7, 2010 by kdicetharappa

maniac74
ok well it wasn't distorted at all sounded nice and clean, i was basically wondering if it could be clipping, cause of the smell, i'm going to recheck my gains. maniac74
on the way home today I was gettin it pretty good for prolly 20 minutes or so i did notice a smell not really bad or anything, when i got home i put ,my hand on the dustcap and it was barely warm, is it normal to have it be a little warm after playing the subs? I just wanna make sure everything is ok. i dont want to hurt my new setup.
