Sundown SAZ3000d on one battery and alt?

not saying itll take a crap at one time... over time your bat... then your alt... then kiss that amp good bye.

when slamming high amperage your alt is pushing full all the time and that stock batt. doesnt take the drain to charge too well. just cause your voltage dosnt drop supper low dosnt mean your not hurting your electricals. if thats the case just get a vcm and be done with it.

i ran a saz 3000 with a red top in the back and my big three done and stock alt up front and stock batt and my voltage didnt drop below 13 volts

I would wanna have room to breath. Better safe than sorry. Especially after you paid a nice amount for your equipment

It's not recommended, it won't reach full potential, but it can be done....

My stock alt is 136A, Optima BlueTop G31 (75Ah) under the hood, wiring in Knu Fleks (it does help that it's oversized and is almost a 2\0 awg wire and the runs are short - under 12') - I run my SAZ3500 @ 1.33 nominal load ..I do realize that my imp rise helps quite a bit as my box isn't great in efficiency, plus I'm tuned low and lack port area... I also keep my full-on demos under 5 minutes and keep a close eye for voltage drop (revving the engine @ 2k) - sub control, checking the temp of the amp, etc

Point is, if you're carefull and know what you are doing - you'll be fine until you get to upgrading you alt and adding batteries.... I, however, chose to swap out my SAZ3500 earlier this week for an SAE1200D v.2 until my 300A Mechman alternator gets here
