kmalinich Posted April 7, 2010 Report Posted April 7, 2010 For a few seconds, before the car shuts off. it'll pull so much amperage off the alt and battery the ignition coil will lose too much power and won't ignite the fuel lol

But to help, depending on the size of your stock, you could add two rear batteries for support. I know someone who is running a Atomic AT-3000.1D (Exact same amp as a SAZ-3000D) on a stock battery and a stock alt ~110A alt with a single run of 0 gauge. Big 3 done. I think he gets voltage drop to like, 13v. No problems at all, except the battery goes flat pretty fast if he beats it without the car running. I wouldn't try it with the amp at 0.5 but shit, it's not going to make your car switch off and your amp explode within 10 seconds. 10.x volts fo' life!

Never below 12.7-13 It pulls some current but as long as you dont bump at idle alot and watch your voltage you could pull it off. I wouldnt recommend it to most people though. To be safe, you should plan on spending at least 1/2 the value of your amp on electrical. Anything else, you're just asking for your equipment to fail. Trunk Build Log
