chevytuck95 Posted April 10, 2010 Report Share Posted April 10, 2010 Ok im trying to design a box for my friends 08 eclipse GT. its going to house 1 Fi BL 18 and powered by a Kenwood X1200M. Already did big three and second batt in the back all with 1/0. What im lookin for is SPL and possibly some hair tricks but SPL more than anything. I dont want someone to design the box but maybe an idea of 3ft and tuning of port. just some ideas would be great thanks. 1995 Honda Accord Coupe still building only thing done is big three and one run of stinger 0 gauge. cqtama Posted April 10, 2010 Report Share Posted April 10, 2010 i thiunk the specs for fi woofers are listed somewhere. i think in the fi section of the forum. i would tune somewhere between 32- 35 htz if you want a good mix between spl and some air . gunna be hard to get a hair trick goin off 1 18 but it is possible. sincew its goin in a hatchback i would do sub up port back to the driver side. or maby sub up port up. either way should be ok R.I.P '01 blazer you treated my ears well until your transmission blew up. Sanitarium Posted April 10, 2010 Report Share Posted April 10, 2010 you're gonna want 6 or 7 cubes, tuned mid to low 30s, sub up, your choice of port. don't port it back if the box will be against the back wall (i know, common sense but i can't assume anything). an extra battery for 1200wrms is a lil bit of overkill so if you can't find a place to put it, don't rip your hair out. Make sure you do the big 3 upgrade and wire it all as clean as possible. Hair tricks aren't gonna happen with what you have though, sorry. Maybe if you put your head IN the port.
