HO alt question(s)

When does one need to upgrade to a HO alt? I'm running a AQ hdc 15 with a hifonics 1610d amp along with a four channel Hifonics. I have one shuriken 35ah battery in trunk stock starter battery, stock alt and at idle lowest I've seen voltages drop was 13.2 over 2000 rpm's I don't see drops lower than 13.8. Basic question is, when I start looking into a ho alt, and what should I be looking for as ampreages go?

If you aren't seeing a drastic drop in your voltage, don't worry about upgrading alts. If you are staying about 13 volts at idle (with your system on and up) then you are fine. Unless of course you are running higher than a 12v system. But then you probably wouldn't be asking these questions

when? when your volts start dropping past ~12 while driving

why? to feed your car more power (aka amps)

how much? depends on your system/what you plan on running
