well today i did some changes on my mids n highs setup in my truck

i took the factory plastic speaker plate piece and recut a coppy of it in 1/2'' birch and put my "sound deadening" on it and wow

i took the kickers out and put my polk db 6500 comps in front doors, and my polk db 651 coax in back

one question i have is, if i cut a hole in my doors to mount the tweets rather than how i got em now just screwed to the sail pannels

im not that good with fiberglass but i can do some basic stuff, i was gunna make me some tweet pods but i dunno

and if i ever get rid of my truck i can just buy a cheap set of comps off the net to put in it if i cut holes in the door for the tweets

i was playing some celine deion and shit like that and the sq is amazing, the tweets are smooth and crisp, not to sharp, and the mids are smooth and warm, i love it

i just wonder why every speaker i hook up to my memphis pr150.2 has more midbass than it did with any other amp?

even with my hifonics i still never got the midbass and fullness in sound as i do with my memphis amp, i guess memphis amps ftmfw! too

i now love polk more than kicker, the only reason i got kicker mids n highs is cause thats what my cuzin had in his honda

but anyways, now will putting my tweets in the door panel make my highs more on point? the tweet pivots but not enough to face the ppl, and what knot

well to anyone that's thinking about mids n highs, these polk db's get really loud and with a good amp they got some killer midbass, now i do have my truck doors "deadened" tho with this stuff thats got aluminum on one side and rubber on the other side, not tar, doesnt even smell like tar, its just a sticky rubber substance kinda like abuytle rubber or somethin

all i wanted to kno is if drilling holes an dputting my tweets in the doors will help with the imageing a lil bit?

ya, i was thinking about gettin those 4'' coax and makeing some apillar pods for em but i cant get the apillers off to do anything with em

i was gunna run em off decks front speaker outputs, should sound good imo, but its plenty loud for now

so anyone kno if i bore a hole in my doorpanel to place the tweet will it help with imageing?

it looks like shit atm but works the way i have it

If you do decide to buy those 4's, pm me. I just put the same polk 4's in my pillars and cut out some extra mdf rings on the CNC. They have an extra hole for an additional tweet
