Phlipcyde Posted September 30, 2006 Report Posted September 30, 2006 Right now I have a 15" RE XXX that I have been using daily for about 2 years. Recently my bass has been cutting out occasionally and I had thought it was a problem with my amplifiers. However today I discovered that when the bass cuts out if I push the subwoofer in a little bit it will kick back on. Any ideas what may be wrong with it? I am not too worried if it dies, I will just have to get to work on my wall a bit earlier than planned.

AMMAY Posted September 30, 2006 Report Posted September 30, 2006 yeah - you could hook an ohmmeter up to each coil and see if it loses continuity while moving through its range of motion if you are really curious
iceman88 Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 dont mean to worry you but i had that problem with a Kicker Comp C15 and basically i was told its dead. But mine once it cut out, i'd push it in it would work ok, when i let go, it stops.
Phlipcyde Posted October 1, 2006 Author Report Posted October 1, 2006 Well it stopped working today for good. Measuring about 200,000 ohms from the terminals outside the box so im just going to assume its fried lol. Time to get those 2 18" Q's I have been thinking about.

BumpinLow Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 Phlip, please get a video of those 18" Q's and a thorough review. Not many people are running Q's. I'm also curious about buying a couple 12" SSD's for my father, so I may post a review on them as well.
