MACnonsence6 Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 i guess the opti drive series is sopose to be better end lanzar but ive only owned a lanzar amp said 4000 peak actually got 400 rms at 2 ohms but thats irelavent having owned both lanzar and pyle amps the internals look identical in the way everything is wired and just the way everything looks so i think its safe to say that those 2 brans are 2 differnt things under a larger company. as far as those speakers go they look sexy but you also need to look at what the specs are vs price anything that says that high of wattage to that low of a prive is prolly a turd. just saying I picked up an MTX Sw1212 powered subwoofer today. This thing sounds amazing. 130 watts, 12" woofer with a passive 12" woofer tuned to 27 hz. Moving the pictures on the walls and my girl got wet from the bass when i showed her haha. Tonight should be good haha.
TeamHT Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 has anyone seen these or tested these yet? how do u think they'll perform? http://www.teptronics.com/opti6mi.html a guy came to me asking to install these and he was short on money so he thought he was getting a great deal. bottom line is, these speakers honestly sucked. he ended up just throwing away $100 total for some speakers which didnt do better than most stock car components. i tried to tell him that cheap isnt always cheap. in the long run its just useless. if youre worried about price ive always been partial for some hifonics 6.5s or planet audios. they have some very nice speakers that arent $25 a pair, but you can find online for about $60. Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
TeamHT Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 they also didnt do anywhere near close to what their rms is rated at, and his didnt last 2 months. also the guy always complained that it sounded like the tweeter was horribly put together. maybe it was shipping error, who knows, but it did sound like it was quite...shoddy Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
