808head
Correct unless your running multiple amps then you use a relay. Should work, Just that the top image will only turn your amp off if you turn the the switch off. And the 2nd one will turn the amp off if you forget to flick the switch and will turn it off by the ignition switch so when you take the key out of your car. 92 Black Acura Vigor (Blacura) pioneer head unit powerbass s-series 6 1/2 components in front 2 stock tweets up on the dash 2 stock 1 inch speakers by the front dome light alpine spg-17c2 6/12s in the back, custom fiberglass pods for them hifonics MX-3 sound processor/line driver BIG 3 done stock alt...not for long 1/0G all around optima yellowtop up front kinetik 2400 in the back Powerbass XA3000d sub amp 2 MTX 9500 12s, single 4 ohm vc (so only doing about 2200w) 8awg wire for the subs

Guest
not in my case because i only have one amp..but like i said before im doing it for show/looks because its got the LED in it..but if you have multiple amps it is nessessary no its not. MANY people on here use relay's to turn multiple accessories on. its simple and you wont forget to turn it off when you shut the car off since it shuts off when the remote source (headunit) is gone.
