Also another factore how much room you have sealed is usually for small space and ported is big areas. IMO a big ported box thats tuned low (30-32hz) sounds best. Some others like small sealed "punchy" enclosures. As far as which is better for spl, then without a doubt ported. 96saturnsl Posted July 2, 2007 Report Share Posted July 2, 2007 Wich is better?? its basically personal preference. ive had a sealed enclosure for a while then i recently built a ported one. and all i can say is im not going back to a sealed enclosure. ported is better in my opinion.
