16 gauge speaker wire running 1200 watts

500 per sub would be enough? RMS on these is 600.

well yes technically it would be underpowering the subs by 100wrms, but it would do a lot better job than the audiobhan IMO.

i got 400rms going to my 8000 15's and there 500rms and they jump out of the box

and for the money its worth it, or try to get the 1500 or somethin so if its underrated u still get close to the power u need

if u could get ur hands on a oldschool mtx 1501d that would be a perfect combo but its not 1ohm stable, just 2ohm

ied get that amp n get rid of that audiobahn

So far they ARE a joke and getting punked out by my old Type R's! Lol. I'm sure it's a power problem and they're not getting what they deserve, though. :D

U dont need 8 gauge, its not like your running the speaker wire a mile, Just go buy some Scoche 12 Gauge speaker wire from Walmart and call it a day, the difference in resitance and power through wire in those lengths are negligible, sure I could use 1/0 for my subwoofers but it would make absolutly no noticable difference in lengths like that. If you upgrade to something where you are running 2-3K per sub then use 8 Gauge but until then you will be perfectly fine with smaller.
