jsn0x Posted April 27, 2010 Report Posted April 27, 2010 Howdy everyone. I have pretty limited experience with car audio and I was looking for some opinions on what I had in mind for my next build. (I just blew my old subs, not too sure how, but they were junk anyway.) I was looking at the SSD 15". I'm going to make a custom box thats going to be right around 4 cubic feet after displacement and tuned to 33hz. The amp I'm looking at is the Rockford Fosgate Prime R1000-1d. It's rated at 1000 watt RMS @ 2 ohms. I was thinking I would go dual 1 ohm's and wire it up to 2 ohms. Any criticism/opinions/experience/predictions welcome, thanks.

I'm not the biggest Fosgate fan but everyone on here seems to like it so I don't want to start an arguement. Them: "Why does my amp keep cutting out?" Me: "What is your ohm load?" Them: "What's an ohm load?"
Freshman6969 Posted April 28, 2010 Report Posted April 28, 2010 auidopipes are true and cheap Legal TL scores145.6 on the dash sealed up in the low 40hz area with the port out145.5 on the dash sealed up @30hz with the port inless then 1k clamped on a 3.5k!
