I'm pretty sure my best bet would be to make the box sub up port back... Does this tend to sound alright in a trunk, or is there too much cancellation? Obviously every car is different, but just in general. Thanks fellas. anubis Posted April 30, 2010 Report Posted April 30, 2010 ran a single 15 like that and going to run my 18" btl from ssackett the same way.... had problems with getting all the sound because of not being able to seal it off but flexed like hell going to alter my rear deck or take it out completely to get more air to cabin and leave the arm rest closed dont know if you'll have the same issues since your car is newer model 1998 Monte Carlo Z34 Stock HU but have replacement Stock Highs Stock Electrical BTL 18 sitting naked AP1500D

I currently have my 10" sub in there, sub back, and port back... the 18" is just too big to do that. I wonder how big of a difference it makes between sub/port back and sub up port back..... I just took some measurements and it looks like i gotta work with ~41" width, ~13" hight, and ~30" deep.... Obviously i can shape custom fit the box a little bit... I think lol but remember you can always build your box inside your trunk... its a bitch but you get a hella lot more room wow now this just shows that smd isnt just any forum. Would i have to have a port like steve has in the Hoe? Or would i put a port along the entire bottom of the box?...
