kmalinich
my friend mase needed a box build for his RF T2 15, paired to an alpine pdx1.1000... so thanks to torres calc... i made it happen for him. measurements are as follows, in inches unless noted Box H: 16 W: 32 D: 20 gross volume: 4.73 ft3 net volume: 3.48 ft3 sub up firing because his trunk isn't tall enough to accommodate the 15 firing rear. Port W: 3.5 L: 28 tuning: 33.18 area: 50.75 on with the pictures, yeah they're cell phone... box is pending body filler, prime and paint due to lack of his funds. once he sells his old setup (2 P3 12s) we'll stone fleck paint it and do second skin... he needs it bad. gotta get your wood sorted out... all 3\4 mdf gettin er cut .. jigsaw + sanding... after that was done.. dad shows me his new router.. almost punch him baffle right after cut. not bad for freehand ... the jig didn't steer either sanding some made it better test fit the sub into the baffle..pretty. we kinda forgot to take pictures...soo.. fast forward a bit... terminals = hardcore ... yet, sexy for lack of better labels startin to come together, test fit the sub again outside... i sanded, he blew off the dust with the air compressor. switched back and forth for about an hour till it was baby ass smooth finished sanding, cleaned thoroughly at 150 PSI. box is 16" tall, sub on top... its a bad boy. 12ga wire, series dual 2 coils. the PDX makes 1000 @ 4ohms sub bolted in in the car (shitty pic, sorry) well when it was all said and done... and yeah, we sealed the shit out of it inside, forgot to take pics.... it played loud and low... WinISD showed it playing to 27Hz, and thats about where it dropped off. we had to ratchet strap it down because it was hopping up and down inside the trunk on low notes. it played mean for a week.. today he is playing it.. not loud at all.. maybe about 1\4 volume. not low note either, it was the high note on No Mo by ludacris... and this happened. all in one motion, the cone detached itself from the surround. just in one shot. never seen anything like it in my life. happy beginning, sad ending. thanks for looking

I'm surprised because this is more of an SQ sub. I guess you get powerful bass without losing clarity with this sub.
