i wouldnt put too much power to those woofers without keeping the excursion down i havent rebuilt mine due to not finding a surround that can keep up with the excursion when you get the coil out of the gap.

actually broke the cones where they glue to that flat 3 rib surround (hate that surround)

be interested in comparing these to some rear aura nrt18's

should sound awesome either way.

There is some things to do to the cone of the driver and the surround as soon as they come out of the box in order to keep that from happening....The surround on the older ones did not have enough emulsion and where the stitching meets the cone and it likes to try to let go in time. This can be fixed with a couple thin layers of 5 minute epoxy, no problems in the wagon right now (or heat) with over 2300 watts per driver. I am not knocking you in terms of his skills or knowledge here P but you had those drivers in an enclosure that murdered their power handling....that was also part of the problem. Do some reactive load tests with some of Thilos drivers in a few different tiny enclosure and you might find yourself very suprised
