Newbish HU question here

I'm putting a Pioneer 12" Sub and a Pioneer 600.1 amp in a 2002 Tahoe.

The Lady doesn't want to change the Stock HU, since she knows how to use this one SO WELL. Or something like that.

Was curious, as to how I would go about wiring a Amp to the Stock HU. I know there is something called a "Knockdown" box, or the conversion box's.

But I've read that you have to sacrifice a Speaker Channel (dash, front doors, rear doors..etc etc)

Please let me know, Long time Lurker, First post. Might as well make it a Newbish one

U dont have to sacrifice a channel just wire it in with that channel t

i got my sub running to the stock HU in my explorer so it is possible but it was already wired to an amp so i didnt have to mess with that

na you have to get a hi/lo converter for it

You just need a Line Out Convertor like this http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Scosche+-+4-Channel+Line+Output+Converter+for+Select+Audio+Systems/7326431.p?skuId=7326431&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=7326431&ref=06&loc=01&id=1218106684939 tap into R and L rear speaker wires and plug the RCAs in

Yea buddy. A line out converter is the simplest way.t-taps or splice and solder that bad boy right in, and if it has the bose system then it probably has the sub in the cargo area then just tap into there an that will save you from having to run the rcas =)
