Stock alt/belt, bad slip when wet

When it rains out, I get bad belt slip on my alt. I will lose voltage big time at idle, and if I stab the gas (sharp, not steady accel) I hear a short loud squeak and the alt kicks back in. Could I have some rubber or soemthing on the pulley that needs to be cleaned off? The belt is less than a year old. Think the tensioner is good but hard to tell, if you know 3.1's you know the stupid cheap-arse tensioner they have...any ideas?

really no way to have someone tell you what is wrong on this case... you need to remove the belt, check the tensioner, and belt, and replace what is needed....

So it slips due to moisture or only when you Drive it in the rain?

If it only happens when you drive in the rain, maybe some spray is getting on your belt from somewhere. Check to see if you are missing a plastic or rubber shield somewhere that blocks spray while driving in the rain.
