ryanFA5 Posted May 9, 2010 Report Posted May 9, 2010 hey everyone. ive got a question. my car has a side mount battery. is there any way that i can just use a top mount battery? its in a 2000 pontiac grand prix. PITA. or can i just use this bolt adapter thing that i bought at my local auto store and put it on there? and also, the bolt threaded right onto the battery, but the cable that attaches to the battery is threaded also, so i cant put a threaded bolt on a threaded battery cable... MrSkippyJ Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 You just have to make sure the battery terminals don't contact the hood (or any other metal part of the car) and you can use what ever kind of mount you want. If you are trying to use the bolt adapter you will need to change the connector on the battery cable (or the whole cable itself).
