Well the differance you're going to see between that and say a porter cable router are the router heating up, being louder, not lasting as long, and not running as smooth from my personal experiences but I'd say it will get the job done for now. I must say it does look nice though maybe it'll prove me wrong.

My question is Plunge or Stationary router, I say plunge to you can gradually cut circles and such going around a few times, my boy has a stationary the he just forces it down and goes around in one shot.

Dont know anything about that one,but heres the one I have been using for 2 years and its mainly been used on 3/4 MDF,oak and pine and I have had no issues with it.And its not a whole lot more,plus you get 2 bases.
