white4d96
One way you could do 16V is have a separate HO alt and 16V batteries in the back just for your system. Keeps it separate from the rest of your car so you don't need a step-down module. IIRC the way the MLA mod works is that it tricks the alt into thinking the voltage is lower than it really is, so keeps trying to get up to 'normal' voltage, when it's actually getting higher voltage. 97SSBlazer
XS VCM FTW. Lets YOU decide what voltage you need and when. Quote lower tuning is just hard. I was surprised how loud 145 sounds at 35hz, and how quiet 145 sounds at 50hz. -= 2005 Tahoe LT =-Head unit: Pioneer AVH-X5500BHSSource: iPad Mini in dash Subs: 2 T1 12's Sub Amp: T1500-1bdCPWire: Rockford Fosgate 1/0 awgSignal Cable: MonsterFronts:Stock Bose for now:)Rears: Stock Bose for now:)MIds/High amp: Stock Bose for now:) 2005 Tahoe Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/172529-2005-tahoe-my-17th-vehicle/ 2001 Monte Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/160030-2001-monte-carlo-my-16th-car-lol/page-2#entry25309381997 Tahoe Build Log: http://www.stevemead...oe-6-15-rf-15s/2001 Impala Build Log: http://www.stevemead...katzkin-inside/

Ok, thanks for some more info. I'm not sure if i can run an extra alt that easy yet? I'm kinda deciding my next ride rite now. Between a 2000 bonneville and a 2004 lesabre...I'm pretty sure that they use the same alts. seeing that they are the same motor..lol DUH...not sure though. But if i can run 2 that would be a verry good option. I could go a little smaller on the alt also because it would just be powering my system. Boon
Not being an asshole, but my rule of thumb has always been that if you have to ask about running a 16v system, you're not experienced enough to be doing it anyway Quote 10.x volts fo' life! You got to ask to gain knowledge and learn. I'm to the level where i know most things but i'm unsure of myself and ask about everything so i don't end up in trouble..
