I prefer lower tuning 28-33. I really like LOW bass notes though. I have had boxes 35-45Hz and Just didnt like that it rolled off so early. There is no "proper" tuning, its all preference

Im tuned at 29.5xHz.

Compeltly sealed my box forward firing in my car, I love it!. 148+ @ 40Hz on music Sealed!
-
Well the crazy thing is if I open the trunk it's get the lows back and goes from 145 sealed to 148 sealed with trunk open. If I roll down the windows it goes from a 147 to 149 with the trunk open. My question is if I seal it off will I still have that kinda of sound and output as I do now with the trunk open?

I had a few questions about sealing off the box when you fire foward in a car. I turned my box around to fire it in and its MUCH better, Not as low but way louder over all. My question is , If I open my trunk its WAY louder but at the moment its no sealed around the box. When its actaully sealed would be similar to when the trunk is open now? Doesn blow foam work well to seal it up? Thanks

I hit 45's on music, and im NOT geared towards the meter at all. I designed my set up to get low and violent

Mechman customer service was fast. They said 470 shipped for a 270a unit. That's a HOT number so it sounds pretty good. 165+ at idle HOT is awesome. -

This Mechman looks good http://www.mechmanhighoutputalternators.com/shop/categories/Adjustable-Voltage-Products/ -
I will soon be purchasing a NICE alternator. I need something that will power my T2500-1bdCP and T1000-4. Last year I had a small shop build me a 200 Amp unit that did fine while I was @ 2Ohm but now that I'm @ 1Ohm it just isn't enough. I had my eye on a DC PRO 280 Amp unit. DC no longer lists this unit for my car due to fitment issues . Now pretty much my only option is a 270XP if I go with them. I have seen a few people using "AD244" style alts on the GM late model FWD V6's though. I know you get what you pay for but on paper the 280PRO was just as good as the 270XP and 230.00 cheaper. Will a single 270 XP be enough for my amps? I called DC they sounded very busy and didn't wanna talk much...

sub suggestions in an ext. cab s10

8 18's. lose the back window and blowthrough! in all sreiousness it all depnends on BUDGET, and existing equipment such as amps. I HIGHLY recommend the Alpine Type R's, they can be foud cheap and in all my experice get loud easily
