Clamped my amps*updated 8/21/2010*

it was suggested to me to have peak hold off because it might spike a bit.

theres no way you can look at 3 diff meters at once, hold the tone for 4 to 5 seconds.

8 amps isnt right, at all.

EDIT - roll into it, dont just burp it, and you shouldnt have a spike

you should still have more voltage. Was your Vac meter on peak hold? How long did you burp for while testing? Were you at full volume?

am I doing the math wrong? To find my impedance i need to take my amperage and divide it by the AV voltage correct?

R is resistance, E is voltage, I is current

well i was in the back seat with the HU remote. I had each tone ready to go and the system on mute. I have a singet volt meter in the console with the done lights. I would turn the tone on, look at the stinger meter, then the DMM and then the clamp. I would let the tone hold for about 10 seconds while i let things settle.

nothing was on peak hold, i burped each tone for 10 sec. volumn was up

I am an asshole, that clears that up. But why such the high rise?

Everything should be on Peak Hold if you have it.

Burp for 2-3 seconds, anything after that and it starts to drop. So by the time you looked at the meters, they were dropping.

no really I am an asshole, I just ran out to the truck to check something....the dash remote was turned all the way down.
