I have a 01 ford ranger xlt.The problem i'am having is when turning right and hit a bump i hear a clunking noise from the front end.Plus can feel it in the steering wheel.Any suggestions?

[/quo How would i figure out if that would be the problem?Not taking it to a shop they charge to much.I do most of my work myself.

jack that side up.. get under it..

lock steering wheel..

twist wheel left and right like your turning the truck.. look for play on the tie rod end or wheel bearing.

then put hands at 12 and 6 o clock and try and rock the tire in and out.. look for play at bottom ball joint and wheel bearing or your strut.. i assume it has a strut..

then try and push wheel forward and back with hands at 10 and 3 o clock and look to see if the suspension arm moves

Thanks for the help.And no it doesn't have struts.
