difference between 2 and 2.6 cu ft box?

Recommended Posts

For a sealed box I'd pick right in the middle of it at 2.3ft^3, then you can experiment for yourself and throw blocks of wood in there to take up space or polyfill to make the sub think it has more space. Find a combination that you like then keep it that way.

I'm having no problem running my BL in a box bigger than recommended by the manufacturer, oh and almost running almost 2x the power rating with no subsonic filter...

the sub is rated at 1000 watts rms, its a fi q series, im gona add the cooling option which adds the extra 200-500 watts rms power handling they claim..reason i feel i need to add it is im going to put 1000 watts into it and some people have said it will blow..so if i go do for the bigger size 2.6 which someone here mentioned it will need less power would i be ok still putting 1000 watts into it when i add the cooling feature?
