9teenD Posted June 1, 2010 Report Posted June 1, 2010 okay guys, i installed a universal slim fit 220 A alt from Mechman. i also picked up the Transpo Electronics External Voltage Regulator. there are three terminals on the voltage regulator; positive, negative, and field. i have 3 leads; green (keyed hot), red and white from the alt harness. has anybody had any experience wiring this thing up?!? thanks very much! MECHMAN Posted June 1, 2010 Report Posted June 1, 2010 did we send the unit already set up for the 91102R, or did you buy the alternator and then purchase the regulator somewhere else? When we send out an alternator set up with the external reg, we include a pre-wired harness that goes the the regulator, and an instruction sheet that shows what color wires go to which terminals. 1-888-MECHMAN www.Mechman.com [email protected]
9teenD Posted June 1, 2010 Author Report Posted June 1, 2010 i bought the alt and regulator from you. lol. it didn't come with any instructions. it did come with a 2 wire harness from the alt (red, white), a 3 foot green wire, and the regulator '96 LRRR 4.6HSE *sold/ best score 150.8 @ 37hz on the dash New: Project Blazin' '96 Chevy Blazer 4 dr.
