When I have run multiple subs it was back when I ran sealed and each sub had it's separate space. anyway I'm building a box for two fully loaded BTL 18s running a shared enclosure tuned to 33hz. In my new tahoe since they're sharing one enclosure do I just make it to double the recommended airspace for one or is there a special way to calculate? Steves box looks small for 4 SMD18s. You also have to remember though that he is giving them more power than the RMS rating so the smaller box is giving them more control with the higher power.

fecupe2001 Posted June 6, 2010 Report Posted June 6, 2010 Yes he said it, i dunno why actually because that one sounds great and it´s a bit small, that way, he can give them that amount of power with less risk; I´m gonna build very soon a big box for my DD 3518´s , i wanted to get 11 c/f after displacement but i couldn´t buy the power i wanted, so, it would be 12 c/F, what power are you gonna use?? BTL FTW Posted June 6, 2010 Author Report Posted June 6, 2010 in my other car I'm feeding a loaded BTL with a rockford BD2500 and it takes it just fine Ifigured I'd run either one 4000bd per sub or two 2500bds per sub.
