but you have to build the box with it. you cant just put a bead inside the box now. it wont add any structure to the joint. a 1" piece of wood along each edge would be the best way to add structure.

I use tight bond 2 as well as heavy duty liquid nails inside and out the 1x1 around the edges as well as maybe some 2x4s in the box will deff. help.. i use screws every couple inches as well drywall ones

drywall screws arnt made for this type of thing. deck screws will hold the best. my team mate uses 1" deck screws to hold in 6 18"s in a wall doing 160db. never broke or stripped one.
