08 Envoy Denali 18" AA SMD Build Log (150 db @ 39 hz)

Back from the dead with some new mods. I'll get up more pictures of the stuff I've done to it since I last updated this, but the main thing is I just finished dropping it today. The rear is self leveling air bags, adjusted the sensors and dropped it about 3", for the front went with DJM upper control arms and DJM lower strut mounts for a 2" mechanical drop while retaining factory shock and spring. Came out pretty good, I'll try get more pictures tomorrow. Friend just snapped this with his iPhone after we finished. Also took off the roof racks.

Stock picture of the car:

Only picture I got of my car showing the huge gap in the fender well:

Picture today:

Pretty much the list of changes since I last updated this is

Tint 5% over 20% on the sides, 35% on front 2, 15% over 20% on the back glass

Tinted tail lights, 3rd brake light, and reverse lights black

Stickers which I probably already have that picture up here

Interior LED's and license plate lights

DJM Upper Control Arms / Lower Strut Mounts and adjusting rear airbag sensors

Remove Roof Racks

Remove door molding (on only one side so far LOL gotta do the other side still)

Painted GMC emblem on the front black

That's all I can think of. More to come in the next few weeks, I'll try get more pictures soon.

Only got to drive it around very little and still never get alignment. The front feels the same while driving, but over speed bumps it feels pretty rough. The back I dropped about 3 weeks ago, it's still smooth but it's more wavy then stock just because there's less air in the bags. Still rides good considering it's stock components and quite a bit lower to the ground.

How much did you pay for the rear bags?

The car actually comes with self leveling air bags in the rear stock. It might only be on the 2wd, I think the 4wd and AWD have regular springs in the back. All I had to do was unbolt the rims and mess around with the sensors to trick the car into thinking it was too high so it dumps some air out of the bags.
